Before Your Gas Engineer Starts
For Gas Safe Register work, Local Pro 247 cross-references each tradesperson's registration against the official Gas Safe Register on a recorded date and locks the credential on their profile. Because registration status can change or be suspended at any time without our knowledge, you must re-check the tradesperson's live status on the Gas Safe Register before allowing work to begin. We do not continuously monitor registrations, endorse, or guarantee any tradesperson. Check the Gas Safe Register .
When your engineer arrives, also ask to see their physical Gas Safe ID card — the card shows the specific categories of gas work they are currently registered to carry out (e.g. domestic boilers versus cookers), which a general register lookup does not show.
